The hotel has full central heating and there are two small lounges on the ground floor, each having a colour T. V. However, most of our guests prefer the atmosphere of the bar lounge, where the evenings are cheered by the Dales characters who congregate to swap Folk Tales and also the inevitable gossip and highlights of their day.
It is not known, for sure, how old the Crown is; some experts believe it to be about the 17th Century and some believe it be even older. Certainly the dark oak beams in the bar lounge are reputed to have been ships timbers. It is English Tourism Council Approved, ( With Three Diamonds awarded ) fully licensed and offers comfortable accommodation.
